I used the recovery media builder to prepare a usb key for recovering one type of computer. The I decided I would re-purpose it for a different machine types image and it failed halfway through due to the backup image being to large. You think it would check first?

I've ended up with a corrupted usb key that I would like to repair and use but I don't know what the software has done to it in order to counter it.

Windows gives me a "device descriptor request failed" and I can't even recover it in linux. Whatever the Recovery Media Builder has done to it is pretty nasty.

So how do I fix it???
