HDM17 delete partition on USB stick failed

I just upgraded to HDM17. I've got a 4GB USB 2.0 flash drive with an NTFS partition I want to use for as a media recovery disk. When I ran media recovery, I got an error 63. Figured I would delete the partition and retry. The delete operation reported success (no errors) but the NTFS partition was still there. However, I noticed that, for a few seconds after the operation completes, when I looked behind the status window at the main HDM17 window the partition showed as "unallocated". After I close the status window, it reverted back to NTFS.

HDM17 is batting 0% - the only two operations I've tried so far both failed...

Maybe the flash drive is broken. Can you delete this partition in the disk manager snap-in?

I was only able to delete the partition within diskpart by doing a clean then a recover. It's working fine now.
