I started a full backup last night. I set the "shutdown computer when completed" option. But this morning, I don't see any option for looking at backup history.
I figured it out myself. For version 15, the "home" screen in my previous comment (also called "Express Mode" in other places) doesn't have an option to do this. Assuming I made a backup to a "virtual disk" (aka a backup destination file), I can then find the previous backup via the following menu path:
Home/Express screen -> Backup & Recovery, Switch to Full Scale Launcher -> Archives tab -> Unnamed pull down menu halfway down on the left, set to "Show VD Containers" (other choice is Archives) -> select the "VD Container" (backup file) from untitled list on the bottom half of the screen.
I don't know if an interrupted 1st full backup will still show a "VD Container" here. You can right click on the VD container entry in the list on the bottom half of the screen and run "Check Integrity" to see if it's a good backup. I assume an interrupted backup would show up as bad.
Well, actually, my VD container integrity check says it's going to take 20 hours (for a 1 tbyte backup file, er virtual container hard drive). So that's not a good way to check.
In version 15, is there anyway to check of the last backup completed successfully? (does the display of a virtual VD container in the Archives tab indicate successful completion?). Same question for the newest version, if it's different.
I realize this response is late, but I've added for any others who stumble across this post. To view the status of past backups in Backup & Recovery CE 17, make sure Backup tasks is selected at the top of the Window. Click the "Switch to table layout" button. In the table, you will see a list of all past backups, and whether or not they have "Succeeded" in the Status column of the table.
