2015 Toshiba 17" laptop, 2 drive slots, had 1TB HDD, I plugged in new internal 1TB Samsung QVO SSD.

Currently HDM Advanced 17, just bought and paid for, recognises only 1 drive, the HDD.

The SSD is recognised by Win10 Device Manager > 'This device is working properly' but Volume info not found.
The SSD is NOT recognised by Win10 Disk Management.
The SSD is NOT recognised by Samsung Magician, though it does see the HDD.

HISTORY

When I first unwrapped the SSD, I installed it internally and could not find it. ( Before I had HDMAdv.)

* I found it became visible only when I set it up as a 5GB Microsoft Windows "STORAGE SPACES POOL" volume.

Then HDM Advanced 17 told me it was too small to be a destination.
I managed to Uninstall the Volume and also to Delete the Pool.
Fine. I didn't want Spaces stuff at this stage.

But now HDM 17 cannot find it.

So if HDM is meant to be able to migrate straight onto a raw new SSD, ????? what's wrong?
