Can't restore backup just made - Failed to find the backup files

I just made a backup, as well as having made a backup several months back and the error message is "Failed to find the backup files" with the solution of "Check the network path (where this backup is resided) can be reached from this PC or the external storage device is connected.

That doesn't make sense as it's a local backup on a different drive. Why would it say it can't even access a backup just made?
