How to fix "Operation has failed. Probably terminated unexpectedly"

Hello,

I just installed Paragon Backup Software 17 Community Edition and just wanted to do a test backup. I selected a folder and specified a backup destination. I tried this twice, once using a USB and another time using another folder on the same PC. Both times, I got an error that said "Operation has failed. Probably it was terminated unexpectedly".

I did not find any documentation on this error. I also assume it is a rookie mistake. Does anyone know what this means or how to fix it?
