    Angry Paragon ExtFS for Mac OS X Treiber inakzeptabel langsam

    Hallo,
    ich habe eine Lizenz für den ExtFS Mac OS X Treiber erworben.

    Der Treiber ist inakzeptabel langsam.
    Man kommt auf eine Kopiergeschwindigkeit von 900 kB/s !!!

    Das ist ein absolutes No-Go.

    Wenn ich die Platte an XP (in einer virtuellen Parallels Sitzung) hänge und mit dem Freeware Tool, Ext2 mounte kommt man auf eine Kopiergeschwindigkeit von 20 MB/s

    Was mach ich falsch?

    I'm talking about the write speed from HFS+ to EXT3. The read speed with the same 1.5TB disk connected is great. For the read speed I reach 71 MB/s.
    ================================================== ===
    I think the issue is solved.
    Formerly the external disk was created with ubuntu. It was an EXT3 partition.
    Now I re-create this partition inside MAC using your creation tool (part of disk manager). It's a EXT2 partition now.
    Actual I have a write speed about 38 MB/s if I copy from another USB connected HD to the 1.5 TB FireWire connected drive.

    ================================================== ===
    I'm on the way to copy 150 GB from one disk to this EXT2 disk.
    Now I check the speed. After now 100 GB are copied the copy speed slows down to 16MB/s.
    I only copy very big movie files recorded with our SAt receiver.
    ================================================== ===
    Addition:
    Now the copy speed slows down to 6MB/s.

    There must something wrong with the ExtFS driver.
    This behaviour is completely unknown with FAT32, HFS+ and NTFS drives.

    There are now two questions open:
    Why the speed slows down?
    Why is the the copy speed on an ETX3 partition so pour?

    ================================================== ===
    Now 50GB of 150GB not copied and the speed slos down to 3Mb/s.
    Sorry that I say this: But the driver I bought for a lot of money is shit.
    I want to have my money back or within 2 weeks a driver that fullfill what you have written in your manual.

    Gruß
