I've been using HDM Pro 15 since it came out, but have an issue on defining a backup location for a "C" system image.
System is SSD with 2 partitions; Win 10 on C and D currently spare
3TB Raid mirror array with data spread over several partitions.
I have two network drives mapped OK in Windows 10 pro;
"T" a Terrastation Pro; it's 4 disk array.
"V" is a single disk Buffalo Linkstation.
Both are recognised and accessible in Windows.
I can find the Linkstation in HDM Pro15 and create system images/backups there, but the program does not see the Terrastation.
SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support is enabled.
Any thoughts please, as I'd like to have directly accessible backups in more than one location.
I appreciate that I can create a backup in V and copy it to T.
My plan is also to have a 3rd Network drive, effectively off site in the adjacent garage and have duplicate backups of essentials there too.
I have an enclosure in stock, but don't have the drives for it yet.
quick work around -
do backup to normal location.
then, COPY the created backup to external garage location, etc
(use a program that will VERIFY the backup as binary comparison after copying; I use syncovery, very good synchronization program, verifies on the fly)
then if you ever need to recover it, copy it to an external usb drive that you would hook to the affected machine, boot with recovery media, and recover it.
I know that does not fix the total problem, but it does protect your backups soyou have them in multiple locations
