extFS for Mac attempts update from 11.2.9 to 11.2.16 but after relaunch is still 11.9

Yesterday, the autoupdate check for extFS for Mac prompted me with news of an update and I let it do it's thing.
Today, the same news of an update, so I watched more closely.
Start with 11.2.9, update to 11.2.16, everything seems to move smoothly.
But after extFS for Mac relaunched the version was still 11.2.9.

I had exactly the same issue. Kept prompting me for the last few days to update from 11.2.9 to 11.2.16, which I did each time. The last few times it had an error at the end of the upgrade saying something about not being able to contact licensing server.
To solve it, I just downloaded the latest version from the Paragon site and installed it over the top: https://www.paragon-software.com/home/extfs-mac/
When I open it now, it says the software version is 11.2.16.
Not sure why the automatic upgrade doesn't work, but this workaround worked for me.
