how to do FULL UNINSTALL, and then clean install, removing all job references?

help to anyone. HOW to do a FULL UNINSTALL, removing any rferences to Paragon, then do a clean install?

I installed 16.23.0, but it is crashing out, and I believe it is trying to reference prior backup job, but I had uninstalled, now trying to reinstall -
    any help appreciated

    Hello Nick.
Unfortunately I do not know how to do a full uninstall.
In such cases, I just restore the OS from a suitable backup.

Fireworker, NO, you've been possessed by the "just start clean" group !! (or, from your backup, not too bad). but there SHOULD be a way to do a FULL CLEAN UNINSTALL of this program (and ANY program for that matter).

here is what happened. I got version 16.23.x. installed it, it worked; then they changed their licensing page; then I reinstalled it - and it did NOT work. SO, fooling with this for THREE WEEKS, installing, uninstalling, paragon would start with the spinny "detecting drives" stuff, but THEN just shut down, no user interface !!!
I've sent about SIX rquests to support, they're requesting log files, event viewer files, etc, etc, etc. a PAIN

Well, I DID create the AGGEREGATE log file, and I started to look at it myself. AND, lo and behold, some ERROR, referencing my drive of dBackup_H12. BUT, since this was a CLEAN install after a full uninstall (multiple times) it should n ot have referenced ANY of my JOB drives.

HERE, what happened, is that their UNINSTALL did NOT REMOVE any of the c:\....ProgramData\Paragon files !!! SO, the PRIOR reference to the JOBS was present, and something was incompatible, and it was crashing the program.

I uninstalled, then DELETED the ProgramData\Paragon folders, and Lo and behold, on a Reinstall, it WORKED - brought me up to licensing page, added the license, and now I have the interface.

NUTS !! This cost me THREE WEEKS to figure this out, and also was without the image backup system during that time (I DO have a background DATA backup system running also, Code42 CrashPlan

Anyway, it APPEARS to be working; I have not done a backup yet, I am too exhausted, will try that this week. But it was totally frustrating that their uninstall did not do this correctly, leaving remnants of the prior install.

Anyway, will test it out some more.

    have a great day
    nick

Use IOBit uninstaller (free works). Had same problem and that worked for me, loads of stuff left hanging around on conventional uninstall inc umpteen Registry entries

Do NOT use ANY third party uninstallers. We have bunches of tickets regarding to that.

Uninstall using "Control Panel => Programs and Features".

    Remove

    "C:\ProgramData\Paragon Software\[product name]"

    "C:\ProgramData\Paragon\[product name]"

    "C:\Program Files\Paragon Software\[product name]"

    Clean registry manually.

Probably you have to handle UIM individually as described in "How To Uninstall Previous Version Of Universal Image Mounter".

C:\ProgramData is hidden: Just put your cursor into the address field, Ctrl-A, type "C:\ProgramData" and your in.

Additionally 3 folders in "C:\ProgramData\Package Cache" one containing an EXE file (e.g. hdm16advanced_x64.exe) two containing MSI files (e.g. hdm16advanced.msi and UIM.msi)

Clearing %TMP% could be helpful as well: put your cursor into the address field, Ctrl-A, type %tmp% and your in. Then Ctrl-A again and the del key. Skip everything throwing an "access denied".

My problem is that the installation did not complete successfully and there is no entry for the program to unistill in the "Control Panel => Programs and Features"!
How should I uninstall the program in this case?
