HFS+ disks formatted on Windows not recognized in MacOS

I've formatted a disk on Windows 10 with latest HFS+ but my drive is not recognized in MacOS 10.11.
Suggestions?

Hi Steve! I am experiencing the same issue you describe. Did you by chance figure out a solution that didn't involve re-formatting the drive? Thanks very much!
