connect drive to windows10

I would like to automatically connect my back-up drive to Windows 10 and to be visible in Windows Explorer

if it is an external usb drive, you should be able to plug it in, and it should automatically be seen by windows.
IF it is NOT, then you may need to assign a drive letter, thoruhg control pane. -> Administrative -> Computer management -> Disk management

first, try plugging it in and see if you see a drive letter come uip showing its contents
