Backup Recovery 17 free version not installing in Windows 7

I am trying to try out the Backup & Recovery free 17 version
and I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate all updated and the installer
keeps saying that I need a newer version of Windows to install

Can someone tell me whether the 17 free version is
compatible with Windows 7?

In my Windows 7, the BR17Free is working fine.

Windows 7 Ultimate all updated

Maybe IE is old?

Minimum requirement is Win 7 SP1. I suppose they need particularly IE components like fireworker said and .NET. The latter can be installed separately. I would give that a try. .NET 4 at least, or the latest version available for Win 7.
