- Windows 7
- B&R 14 free

I tried to restore one partition from a backup archive to the same partition on a data disc (not the current system). For some reason Backup & Restore decided I had to reboot to allow it to preform the restore in 'DOS' mode, i.e. before Windows starts. Unfortunately, it failed to work. All I got was a corrupted screen and nothing was happening. Even the USB keyboard was not activated so I couldn't press Ctrl-C to interrupt it safely, so I switched off. Now Windows 7 fails to start and always tries to run B&R on startup. Odd, because B&R has always worked before.

That is just the background; I am not asking for help with that. My question is: how do I disable this 'DOS' pre-boot program so that Windows 7 starts normally? I can access it from Linux or I could boot up from a Win7 installation CD and I know how to add hives to RegEdit. I just need to know which file or registry key to change!
