Microsoft BFK file restore

I have files in the older Microsoft backup file format that I would like to restore. The file extension is .bfk I would assume an advanced file restoral untility such as Paragon Hard Disk Manager 16 Advanced should be able to do this but when I navigate to the file location the file is not visible to the program. It does not show as a file type that I can restore although I know that it is a valid backup of an older computer. How can I restore individual files from theis BFK archive?
