I have the same problem - I get this notification after every reboot, but also whenever I insert extFs media. And the effect is that extFs fails to mount anything, so has become essentially useless.
My impression is that the problem is related to macOS 10.13.4 (and not an update of extFS).
I did a complete uninstall and re-install as recommended in the knowledgebase (after macOS updates, "please reinstall the driver", see knowledege base article here), but the problem persists.
I’m on 10.11.6 so not sure this is true. Mine definitely started just after updating to extfs 11.1.616.My impression is that the problem is related to macOS 10.13.4 (and not an update of extFS).
After installing 11.1.636 (available from tech support) my issue is corrected.
