ExtFS crashes OSX when working with Ext4

This is driving me crazy,

I'm using ExtFS to work with Ext4 disk images on a MAC running High Sierra 10.13.3. Every sixth or so time I mount, write and unmount the file system the whole OS crashes!

All have to go on the Apple crash report below.

Can anyone help?

(replying in case someone still gets the problem)
The panic report mentions the Caches folder. I'd try to empty that Caches folder, restart the computer, and try again. Emptying a Caches folder does not hurt; its content is re-created as necessary. (the only thing usually happening after removing a Caches folder is the applications related to its previous content might run slower the first time, as the folder is re-created; since these caches files may become corrupted (or contain invalid data), removing them may help resolving the problem).
