cloning seagate central drive to new drive

My seagate central is 3 years old so I'm going to put a new 4T drive in. It has a 3T drive now about 61% full.

My reading shows that the NAS uses ext2 that I should be able to read using ExtFS for Windows.

What I have not been able to determine is if I can clone to the new unformatted drive, the user guide only mentions reformatting existing drives.
The guide says "all found ExtFS volumes are automatically mounted" so I'm wondering if a new non partitioned non formatted drive will be recognized.

    thanks

The HDD in Seagate Central contains 8 partitions, 2 of which are Ext2. Your files are stored on the last partition, Ext4.
With Paragon Linux File Systems for Windows, you can read your files. But it's impossible to clone the firmware.
For cloning, you need to use some cloning or imaging program. For example Paragon, Backup & Recovery, Disk Copy, Hard Disk Manager, Rescue Kit.
