Can I format a new drive in extfs Windows?

I have a brand new blank drive, and I'd like to format it to ext2. I've got the 10 day eval copy of extfs Windows, but there doesn't seem to be any way to format a blank drive, or an NTFS drive I'd like to reformat as ext2. I see a format button in the main extfs window, but it does nothing.

Also, when formatting, do you have the option to specify the inode size?

We're running this on Windows 7. Drive is in a CRU dock. Windows Disk Manager see it with no problem, so we know it's not a physical problem.

Why not use some Linix-LiveCD for this?
I do not know about "ExtFS for Windows", but "Hard Disk Manager 16 Preview" can format to Ext2 with the selected size of the block (2, 4 or 8 it seems).
