Incremental Backup Problem

I have a problem doing an Incremental Backup.
No problem making the complete Base Backup.
Problem:
When I initiate an incremental Backup, after a few seconds, I get the Error Message:
'Operation failed because volume was locked by another application.'

I tried logging on as Administrator in the Safe Mode, but the problem was still there.

Any idea what is causing this problem?

I just got this as well. Any ideas?

before you did the incremental backup, did you reboot /restart the machine? if not, try that.
if it happens after REBOOTING, can you post some screen shots?

Something unusual about my backup, which may be relevant:

I'm doing a full backup of a partition from one disk, and it automatically adds the boot partition from another disk.

I'm backing up to an external HDD.

do you have the latest update; in the past sevedral weeks, I believe it is now 16.18.1, try that if not installed.
