lost excel files and folders

I recently used BR16 to backup my HDD before a reinstall of my windows 10 software. I got most of my files back to the HDD, but several of my Excel 2013 files are missing. A few folders are missing. All the missing were new files, but well before the backup. Do I have any options to try and recover these lost files?
