Recently bought two identical 2T hdd's to replace my mismatched hdd's including one that was 10 yrs old.

My OS is Windows 10 and MS doesn't have a built-in utility to handle data migration. I tried a competitor's software solution but it failed to do the transfer properly. You would think that the Windows 10 disk management utility would be able to do this.

A search and a view of a YouTube video for Paragon HD manager prompted me to purchase the product which seamlessly accomplished the task, assigning the correct drive letters to three drives, and creating a new partition that took advantage of the new drive's larger capacity.

Thanks for the help, if I had gone with Paragon initially, it would have saved me more than a few hours of valuable time and aggravation.
