I want to schedule Incremental backups but do I have to run apply them after I schedu
them. I understand how to set up the incremental backups. My question is I want to do more than one but at different times. Do I have to apply the one I want to run monthly even though I just did a full backup or can I delete it before I set up the ones that I want to do more frequently?

What software are you using?
Generally, you can run any scheduled task at any time.
If you have created a full backup, and have scheduled incremental backup, it should perform on specified time automatically.
