I have Windows 7 running on an Asus laptop. I have 2 partitions, C and D, on a single hard drive. C has all my programs and data and D contains nothing. I'm running out of room on C and need to expand it. I successfully shrunk D to create unallocated space to the right of C. However, I have been unable to expand C. Clicking on C and then "move/resize" brings up a dialogue box, but C seems to be maxed out and I can't expand the box to the right.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
It is not possible to extend the partition by doing disk management and you can go with Partition Wizard bootable disk for expanding C drive. In future, you can use the https://www.paragon-software.com/home/hdm-personal/ which does automatic partition alignment
