HardDisk Manager 15 Professional: Can't open file psi.out

I am trying to use HardDisk Manager 15 professional to retention wizard for VD to setup a backup shedule for the internal SSD on a Surface Pro 4.

The wizard runs fine and the scheduled backup kicks of at the scheduled time. However I always get the messary Can't open filepsi.out and the backup then fails.

The destination for the backup is an external SSD mapped as Z:\ on a usb 3.0 connector.

Why is this happening. What do I do to resolve it?
