How do I use ver 15 (just installed) to create a partition on ext HDD

I want to use my new Paragon software to do image backups of my laptop's HDD. I have a 1 terabyte external (USB) hard drive which has about 400GB free space. I want to partition it so my image backups are put on the new partition. I can not figure out how to use my Paragon Hard Disk Manager™ 15 Suite to partition my external HDD.

    For example like this:

    move/resize; create partition.

    Please note:
    1. Is undesirable to have partition that filled up by ~100%. In your case, possibly partition"backup" should be made <400GB
    2. Each time you connect USB-HDD to your PC, will appear two new disk instead of one. It may be easier to create a separate folder?
