I am trying to install the new version of Paragon Backup and Recovery (I will call it PBR here).
Normally, I use a password manager, which enables me to use "impossible" passwords for all sites.
However, PBR does not allow me to paste the username and password for my Paragon account.
Consequence is, that I cannot use a secure password. I am not willing to enter a complex password by hand.
Does Paragon not like secure passwords?
Strangely, I could use cut & paste when I changed my password.
comment -
you really don't want a super secure password for the backup. because if you have to recover, you have to type it in, from a usb boot.
SO, workaround - do the backup, put in a password, something based on drive name and date, so you can remember it.
THEN, store that backup on an encrypted/bitlockered/veracrypted drive. you'll probably never need it, BUT.... when you DO need it, copy it to an uncrypted drive, and use that as the recovery media, and then you have an easy password to retype for recovery.
just my two cents
