After installing 11.1.636 (available from tech support) my issue is corrected.

I’m on 10.11.6 so not sure this is true. Mine definitely started just after updating to extfs 11.1.616.

Every time I reboot my system extFS fails to activate and I get a notification that I will have to activate manually. This has just started occurring after the most recent update.
