Backup & Recovery 16 Bitlocker Drive

I am trying to clone a drive that has a Bitlocker partition on it to a new SSD. I went through the process in Backup & Recovery 16, and it didn't take very long to finish. After it was complete, I tried restoring but noticed that the Bitlocker partition was empty. So, I hooked up the original drive to try cloning again, but now it's saying there is no partition there. And, when I put the original drive back in the computer, it will not boot anymore. Did something get screwed up with the Bitlocker partition?? How can I get it back?
