how do i restore files from a back up ?

Hi, i'm a complete novice with IT stuff, please explain in the easiest way possible !
I created a backup of my personal files from my old PC, to an external HDD.
I now have a new PC onto which I have installed Paragon hoping to recover my files.
am I missing something as I can't see how to do this, can't see how to direct the software to the back up on the HDD
can someone please explain how I can recover my files

What product have you installed?

If that's HDM17 or BR17 Free, you can only Restore the backup using Recovery Media.

First, create it by selecting Gear icon - Recovery Media Builder
Then boot from it and press ... - Import backup.
Then you'll be able to Restore it.
