Cannot restore files with a # in the filename...help!

Hi there.

I had a dead hard drive and thankfully I backed up nightly. However, in my attempts to restore to a new hard disk, I've found that I cannot restore any files that have a # in them. The files exist and I can browse to them in the backup sets, but always an error is given: "Could not open file "c:\....\...\filename with a # in it.txt"

It basically just doesn't like #'s .

I can't go back to the backup set and rename the files either so I'm stuck.

Any advice?
