Adaptive Restore

I was researching on upgrading my failing motherboard without having to reinstall Windows 7 and adaptive restore was shown as one way to accomplish this. Paragons webpage listed adaptive restore as included with several of their products including backup and recovery 16 so that is what I purchased. After installing and making a backup cd I can find adaptive restore nowhere. Contacted paragon a week ago and only received a generic reply that it was taking longer than usual to process my request so I requested a refund and cancellation of my product key as the software doesn't do expressly what I purchased it for. Still no response. Has anyone used adaptive restore and what software was it part of?
