Paragon NTFS Installer error (Mac)

Any time I try to install Paragon NTFS for Mac 14, I get a "CFErrorDomainLaunchd error 9" message right after it asks for my password. The installer then quits.

I got this message a couple months ago, and since that time I've reinstalled the OS (for unrelated reasons), and I have no trouble with any other software.

I've even tried disabling System Integrity Protection as well as Gatekeeper, but it doesn't help.

System: macOS Sierra 10.12.3

Any help would be appreciated,
