Hi,

I do'nt understand this: "Backup destination. The Backup Wizard allows saving backup archives to local or network drives, to physical partitions (without drive letters assigned)"

When I have an empty partition e.g. F: named, is this F than an "assigned" drive letter, and this partition can thus not used for a backup of e.g. C:

Thx in advance.

Hello Ward,

>When I have an empty partition e.g. F: named, is this F than an "assigned" drive letter,
Yep, this is an assigned drive letter. you can also use this partition to save your backup.
(without drive letters assigned) means, that you can also save your backup to an unmounted partition ( for windows explorer invisible )

Hello Ward,

when you create a partition of unallocated free space on HDD it has no drive letter. For example 10GB partition that is formatted in NTFS it has no drive letter yet. Then you assign it D: or any other letter either via Windows Disk Management or our software. Then you can see this partition in Windows Explorer. Some users prefer to keep partitions for backups unmounted so no could accidentally remove they backup files via Windows Explorer. And our software supports backup imaging to such partitions. We hope that the answer is clear.

Best regards
Musa
