Paragon Drive Backup Pro 8.51

1) I just launched the Windows task scheduler, and it shows the backup jobs I've scheduled. One ran at 4am this morning, as planned. In the Drive Backup scheduled task screen it advises the last result as 'Succeeded'. However in the Windows task scheduler is says 'Running'. I think this must be a bug in Drive Backup.

2) I just tried to configure a new scheduled backup, and it refused to allow me to specify a backup name because the folder of that name already existed. I do not wish to allow DB to create random names for my backups - I want them overwritten each week. I'm curious whether DB is going to allow me to overwrite backups? There doesn't appear to be an option in the configuration to allow this.

Andrew, use Cyclic Backup, it is what you need for sure.

I saw the cyclic backup option and wondered what it was! The help didn't give much of a clue (the more I see of the help the less I am impressed, it seems to assume you know what the basic terminology means).

Thanks for the suggestion, much appreciated.

I just tried to use the cyclic backup option, and it gets to the 2nd screen which has the title 'What to back up', but the 'Next >' button is permanently disabled.

I select which hard disk drive I want to backup and it does not enable this button.

Also, I can only select one disk drive - if I select another drive it clears the checkboxes for the previously selected drive. This doesn't look good where I am trying to backup a whole PC to an external target.

Drive Backup Pro 8.51 looks a tad unfinished in some ways - the above problems really should have been caught before the software was released.

hey dude, Cyclic Backup works with single partition only. In other words you cannot backup with CB entire HDD but only one partition C: for example. But here is a solution also, you can set number of CB tasks so it could backup all partitions one by one. Say at 13:00 C: is taken backup, at 15:00 D: is taken backup and so on.
