ntfs for mac cd install won't work

tried the trial version, worked fine. Bought the cd from amazon to get my legal copy for my mbp. tried to install ntfs for mac from the cd but I only get an error message that the trial period is over. Uninstalled the trial, rebooted, tried the install cd and still get the trial period is over error message. put in my mac user name and the purchased cd serial number but now I only get "wrong user name or serial number".
I was able to register the cd's serial number on paragon's site but the serial number is unusable on my macbook pro.
Anyone have any answers to how this works? or how to actually install this sw?

Hi,

try to use the productkey instead of your mac username.
This should solve the problem.
If not, I would contact paragon directly.

Bizarrely enough, this works. The installer should ask for the product key, not the user name. Not too hard is it?
