Hi ,
setup:
macbook/intel, 2ghz intel core duo, 3gb ram, 150Gb hd, OS X 10.4.11...
issue:
I have been having issues with my usb (ntfs) drive being recognized on my macbook, but it works fine on my peecee.... so I just went to your website and downloaded the 651 upgrade to ntfs for mac. I put the download in my existing ntfs for mac directory (where I had files with my original receipt and emails and such for purchasing the 650 version a while back). I run the install and at the end it asks for a reboot (of course)... so I go looking for my files and the download dmg so I can save them off before a reboot and who! my files and directory are gone and I have a new directory called NTFS of Mac OS X...
I looked in the trash and they are not there. Is there anyway I can get my files back before I reboot (which I have not done yet)??? or did you guys do a unix delete in the background here and just blow them away forever?
Please let me know?
If they are gone - I would suggest that in future versino updates that you ask customers (with a big obvious type message) before deleting any files on their system.. whether in the install directory or wherever.
thanks
gary
