Hei all

I bought Drive Backup 9 Personal this morning, and after the initial pleasure at making my 1st Full backup, went on to making the Recovery CD, and later on the Bart PE Recovery CD.

I have reported my problems to support, but would like to know if anyone else is having trouble with DB 9 Personal RCD, and/or the Bart PE plugin RCD?

With the former, I have mouse freeze in Failsafe mode, and trouble reaching a 'useable' blue Paragon screen in Normal mode - I reach the blue screen but its empty but for the Paragon logo..

Bart PE boots up OK but selecting Paragon DB 9 results in the Bart CD being ejected.. never seen that before! ;) I have btw remade the CD many times on different DVD burners, and several downloads of the plugin and PEbuilder.

So, I am not too happy with the RCD situation and want to know if I am alone in this?

Mvh

BTW, The PC is couple of years old, running XP SP3 and OpenSUSE 11. It also runs True Image and Bart PE RCDs OK..

Edit: Ref the mouse freeze, I have the same problem with 3x PS/2 mice - the interesting thing from a faultfinding point of view (for Support) is if I keep wiggling the mouse after clicking on Failsafe or any of the following windows, the mouse remains active! RCD is definitely in need of a better mouse driver..

The Bart PE problem has been fixed by a manual work around when Bart PE has booted, and this, I am led to believe, is now in an updated Help file. It worked.. :)

Ref trouble reaching a 'useable' blue Paragon screen in Normal mode - this is now solved! A Belkin Bluetooth adapter type F8T012 was hanging the boot process. Swapped it for one from CNet and all is well :D

Paragon 9 has problems with a PS/2 mouse connected - the first time I got a blue screen and had to rebuild the MBR, the second time (I forgot a PS/2 mouse was connected) it fried the hard drive. That's not nice...
