Hello, I used to have the trial of NTFS for MAC installed, but the trial ran out. About two months later, I have now purchased and installed the program. The problem I am having is that when I am in OS X, my Windows Partition and Western Digital Passport external hard drive I recently partitioned to NTFS are both not showing up anywhere. I can see them both in the Disk Utility, but when I attempt to Mount either of them, it says that they cannot be mounted.

What information do you need to assist me further?

Thank you very much.

Derek

I had this as well and was able to resolve it in the following way.

1) Whilst the drive is plugged in and not recognised, go to Applications -> NTFS For Mac OSX -> NTFS preferences. Turn off the NTFS driver.

At this point my drive now appeared but was obviously read only.

2) Now eject the drive and unplug it.

3) Turn the driver back on and then plug the drive back in.

Form this point on everything was working for me.

Thanks.

I have tried what you have said, but still no luck. I did a format on the drive to Windows NT Filesystem using Disk Utility. However, regardless of the setting for the NTFS for MAC driver, I do not see the drive on my desktop. The drive does show up in Disk Utility however. Any other ideas?

Thanks,

Derek
