ok i have recovery cd
i have installed windows
i have done full back up of hard drive
installed drivers/apps
done differential back up
now i would like to do differential backups every week automatically
so i schedule a backup but it only allows full backup not differential there is no option to change it to a diff backup instead of a full hd copy

when doing a scheduled task of backing up if i pointed it to first backup of when operating sysytem install would it do another full back up/or would it do a diff backup

when doing a scheduled task of backing up if i pointed it to last diff backup would it do a diff backup from that point or would it do full backup

i cant seem to find any options to either change the backup method or anywhere that tells u what it is going to do.

other than that after i done first backup of operating system i reinstalled from the backup copy just to check it was working ok before i proceded to install anything, nothing worse than beliving u r protected from a total pc crash only to find your backup is not working .

anyways what a great program.....this is going to save me a lot of work !!!!

Hi aip, could you first clarify what product you are using? I have some experience with Hard Disk Manager 8.5 so could help you. One should take first backup of C: for example and then run Differential backup to point when necessary to backup of C:. At the end of Differential Backup Wizard, do not apply changes but go to Tools menu and find there Save Scheduler option. This will create scheduled task that will take differentials automatically.
