I have received a copy of Drive Copy 8 Personal Special Edition on the cover DVD of PCPro and installing it completely screws up my computer. I reboot as instructed and if then left to its own devices, XP Pro refuses to install and the thing goes into a loop whereby, having failed to boot, it reboots and then does it again and again . . . . .
If I interrupt this cycle and boot in Safe Mode, even when I run the programme, I can't get it to actually do anything. I can't move the cursor and tab doesn't help. The only thing I can do is un-install with the result that I can't do what I set out to do which is to clone my current 80GB C: drive in my laptop to an external 160GB drive which I then was intending to replace the 80GB drive with.
What is going wrong - is the install disc corrupted?
