I have a drive with three partitions:

C:\ - which holds WinXP Pro
D:\ - which hold the programs installed on the machine
E:\ - data

I want to merge all three partitions. I am worried about merging D:\ into C:\ because I am not sure if Partition Manager will edit all of the registry information for the programs installed on the D:\ drive.

Will Partition Manager modify all registry entries so that the programs and the Start Menu will still work, or will I have to reinstall all of the programs?

Thanks!

Hello

When doing a merge operation Partition Manager will only move the data from the one to another partition (into a separate folder).

The registry entries are a completely different topic. They will not be modified. This would unable to handle. Since there exist many applications which uses there own "folder recognition technique" like INI-files it would be always a half completed function.

I'm not aware of any partitioning software which modifies registry entries of third party applications.
