Hello, I am just going to make an observation on the the 8.5 Suite Recovery CD.
On an Intel Intel® Desktop Board D946GZTS motherboard, the recovery CD hangs on boot after choosing the the option of Full Graphics, Safe Mode, etc. Nothing seems to allow it to run. You just get a blank screen without going to program screens. If you pick "Safe Mode", you get about 10 or 15 dots, then a .................# sign.
This parallels a problem I had with this motherboard on running Mandriva 10.1 It will hang partway through the startup process, and it is a incompatibility with the motherboard. By upgrading to the latest Mandriva 2008 and Kernel (2.6.xxx, I think), the Linux will boot on this motherboard.
I wonder if the HD 8.5 Suite has the slightly older and incompatible kernel as well. It would be cool if there was an update soon to correct this.
Too bad, though, I like the HD Suite, but I can't use it.
