Recovery Disc and USB drives

Wonder if someone can help - I need to restore a drive which will not boot from an image stored on a usb hard drive

The recovery disc boots up fine on linex, but when trying to find the image to restore the usb drive is not displayed

I checked on paragon knowledge base and ID 2393: Supported types of hard disks says that USB drives ARE supported from the recovery disc

Am I missing something? Anyone any ideas please?

I am using paragon Hard Disc Manager 6.01.555. The computer I'm trying to restore to is a Dell Latitude D820

Looks like your drive is not detected by Linux. Linux kernel has some kind of driver support and if your USB drive is not supported by definite kernel then no way to add it to standard Linux based Recovery CD.
Version 6.0 is too old to my mind. If you start restore from Windows interface then it should see USB drive and restore just ok.
